The heat was on around the North State Thursday, with gusty north winds in the Valley as well. The winds will subside overnight, but the heat will be back on Friday!
High temperatures soared to near 90 in the Valley on Thursday, with north winds gusting 30 to 35 mph. The winds in the Valley will diminish overnight, but the Jarbo Gap winds will be gusty on the Ridge again tonight. Look for locally strong winds near the Feather River Canyon overnight.
We'll stay hot again tomorrow, but look for high pressure to begin weakening this weekend. That will allow our temperatures to begin to slowly cool down. By the middle of next week, high temperatures will return to near aveage for this time of year.
So, cooler weather is coming... but not Friday. It'll be a hot finish to our work week!
