It's going to be another hot, dry, and sunny day across the north state for your Friday. Temperatures are starting out in the low to mid 60's in the valley, and are projected to climb into the high 90's to low triple digits this afternoon. Mountain areas are starting out in the mid 40's to low 50's, and will be in the high 80's to high 90's later on today. Those high temperatures will be between 6 to 12 degrees above average for this time of year.
Northwest winds are returning to the region today, but should stay at or below 10mph. Humidity values will continue to be extremely dry, and some areas of the valley could fall below 10 percent again this afternoon. Fire danger will continue to be elevated due to the hot, and dry conditions.
Temperatures will be very similar on Saturday, but should see a modest cooling trend returning to the region on Sunday. Average temperatures will be ahead for the north state by Tuesday, so next week is looking much more comfortable. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!
