Cloudy skies, a modest drop in temperatures, and a chance of mountain thunderstorms are all ahead in your Tuesday forecast. Temperatures will fall around 3 to 5 degrees from Monday's high temperatures. Valley locations will climb into the mid 90's to low 100's range, while mountain areas will see low 90's to low 100's.
Monsoonal moisture returning from the South will increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms for the mountains, and there will also be a slight chance of very light showers ahead for the valley. The best chance for activity will be this afternoon, as well as Wednesday afternoon in the mountains.
Temperatures will continue to trend at, or slightly above average through your weekend forecast. Sunny skies will return to the north state by Thursday. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
