Very HOT, sunny, and dry conditions are ahead for your Friday forecast. Temperatures only dropped into the high 60's to low 70's for most of the valley overnight, but Redding stayed in the low 80's. Mountain areas bottomed out in the mid 40's to mid 50's this morning. High temperatures will be between 102 to 106 degrees in the valley, and high 80's to around 105 degrees in the mountains. The hottest areas of the mountains will be in Trinity County. Winds will be slightly stronger today, and are projected to top out at around 15mph out of the North. Humidity values will fall to around 10 percent this afternoon.
The hot, and dry conditions will continue through the weekend, with a modest cooling trend expected for the start of next week. Temperatures will slowly fall into the low to mid 90's by Thursday in the valley. There are no other updates ahead for your extended forecast, so just make sure to take precaution with the hot temperatures ahead. I hope everyone stays safe in the heat, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
