Hot and humid around California today... the humidity is from the remnants of a former hurricane! We'll see more of this on Tuesday.
The remnants of Hurricane Dolores are now off of southern California, pumping moisture into our state, and making it plenty muggy. This is also sparking afternoon showers and thunderstorms across California, although it looks like the Sacramento Valley will stay dry. The remnants of Dolores will slowly dissipate off of southern California over the next couple of days, but it will still pump enough moisture our way tomorrow and Wednesday to spark thunderstorms in the mountains, and make it muggy in the Valley.
High pressure will break down this week, and that will allow our temperatures to cool down. By the end of the week, our temperatures will have cooled off nicely and the extra humidity should be gone... Look for nice weather as we finish off the week and head into the weekend! Temperatures should warm to around average for late July this weekend... hot, but at least not in the triple digits.
