Extreme heat, and dry conditions are expected in your Friday forecast. Valley temperatures will be above the century mark, and mountain areas will be in the mid 90's to low triple digits. Skies will be mostly sunny for your Friday as well.
Humidity values could drop into the single digits for the valley, but most areas will hover between 10 to 20 percent by this afternoon. The dry, and hot conditions will lead to higher fire danger for the region today. Winds will be relatively light, which could limit the fast spread of fires.
There will be a slight lingering chance for thunderstorms in the Quincy, and Chester areas, but the rest of the region should stay much less active through the weekend.
Temperatures will drop by about 5 to 8 degrees by Monday, but will stay at or above average through the extended period. I hope everyone stays safe in the heat, and has a fantastic Friday!
