Sunny skies, and hotter temperatures are returning for your Thursday forecast. Temperatures are starting out cooler than 24 hours ago, with valley locations falling into the mid 60's overnight, and mountain areas starting out in the mid 40's to high 50's. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the high 90's to around 104 degrees, while mountain areas are projected to climb into the high 80's to high 90's. Winds will be up to around 10mph out of the North. The higher temperatures, and dry conditions will lead to an increase in fire danger for today through the weekend.
Temperatures will continue to heat up on Friday, with the entire valley projected to climb into the triple digits. Temperatures will finally begin a modest cooling trend on Sunday, and will continue to drop until they fall into the high 80's by Wednesday. There aren't any storms projected to return over the extended period, so you can expect sunny skies, and above average temperatures through the next week. I hope everyone is ready for the heat to return, and has a great Thursday!
