Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the mid 90's in the valley, and into t he mid 80's to low 90's in the mountains. Skies will be sunny, and winds are projected to be up to around 10mph out of the North. The North winds will result in lower humidity values. Most of the region will have humidity fall to around 20 percent this afternoon. Fire Danger will be moderate to high this afternoon, and will remain elevated throughout the week.
Temperatures will climb into the mid 90's to low triple digits in the valley from Tuesday through Thursday. The peak of the heat will arrive on Friday, with valley locations projected to climb into the 104 to 108 degree range on Friday afternoon. Temperatures will stay in the triple digits on Saturday, but will not be as hot as Friday. Mid to high 90's will then return on Sunday just in time for Taste of Chico! I hope everyone is ready for the heat to return, and has a great Labor Day!
