Wednesday was another warm day around the North State, but no more so than any other typical July day... Our temperatures were pretty close to average for this time of year. Not much change in temperatures through the weekend, which means decent weather for the 4th... Remember last 4th of July, we were around 110! So at least we'll be a lot cooler than last year on the 4th.
We had a few afternoon thunderstorms in the Siskyous on Wednesday, but those won't return Thursday afternoon. They might next week, however, as a bit of monsoon moisture will surge northward from Arizona.
High pressure will get very strong again next week. That will let temperatures soar... look for Valley highs between 105 & 111 next week. Yikes!
