Mt. Shasta Mall in Redding is playing host to an assortment of cars dating back to the turn of the century.

The Shasta Cascade Horseless Carriage Club is carrying on their annual tradition that started in the 1970s, displaying a collection of carefully restored antique cars.

So what exactly is a "horseless carriage?"

"The definition through the national club is anything 1915 and earlier. The reason that came up originally as the first car was a horseless carriage, it was run by a motor instead of pulled by a horse, so that's how it came up with that name," said club member Skip Bennett.

The cars will be on display until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
