Butte County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives from the Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Agency removed a butane honey oil extraction lab from a vacant residence at the 3100 block of Grubbs Road in Oroville.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report of the lab on Sunday March 2, and then removed the lab from the residence. They found one extraction tube, one glass dish, and 175 empty butane cans. While removing the lab materials, Detectives located the remnants of an indoor marijuana growing operation. 15 marijuana plants were removed from the residence and five additional marijuana plants were found growing in a greenhouse behind the residence.

Detectives have identified two suspects in connection to the lab, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
