Anderson Police say a woman was arrested for refusing to leave a hotel swimming pool despite being asked to leave by property managers multiple times.

Police were called to the hotel on Gateway Drive just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, where they found 43-year-old Rebekah Thorn. Thorn had reportedly been asked to leave the property the day before, but had returned to swim in the pool.

The officer told Thorn if she gathered her belongings and left she wouldn't be arrested, but Thorn became agitated, told the officer she was homeless and said nobody could force her to leave.

After continued refusal to leave, Thorn was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for a misdemeanor trespassing violation.
