California Highway Patrol investigators say alcohol may have been a factor in Tuesday morning's crash Highway 32 at Meridian Road, west of Chico.

The crash, involving a big rig and sedan, happened just after 11 a.m. and investigators believe driver of the sedan may have been drinking.

Following the crash, the truck leaked a significant amount of fuel onto the roadway and a Hazmat team was called to assist in cleanup efforts.

The driver of the big rig was uninjured, the driver of the sedan was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
