A high speed pursuit resulted in arrest early Saturday morning when a driver allegedly refused to obey officers’ orders to stop and fleeing at more than 60 miles per hour in Oroville.

Aki Jordan, 31, was seen running a stop sign at the intersection of Feather River Boulevard and Montgomery Street around 12:30 a.m. in the morning. Jordan fled as officers attempted to pull him over.

Officers involved in the chase said Jordan was driving through Oroville city streets at speeds exceeding 60 miles per hour and running through stop signs. Eventually, Jordan ditched the vehicle and fled on foot where he was apprehended.

Jordan was booked into Butte County Jail on charges of evading arrest, drug paraphernalia possession and probation violations.
