A Paradise transient is arrested after leading officers on a high speed chase, with speeds reaching 115mph.

According to the Paradise Police Department, an officer tried to pull over Tory Pryor, 26, around 9pm Wednesday night in the area of Skyway and Neal Road when he took off southbound on Skyway. Because of the high rate of speed, the officer ended the pursuit but stayed in the area.

Pryor was then spotted again near Spanish Gardens Drive and when officers attempted another traffic stop, he took off on foot but was detained by a police K-9. A passenger told police he asked to be let out of the vehicle but was not allowed out, so an additional charge of kidnapping was added to the other charges Pryor is facing including driving under the influence, evading police with disregard of safety and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Butte County Jail with bail set at $117,000.
