A high risk sex offender is back in police custody after being accused of chasing two teenagers through the streets of Red Bluff. Nathan Webster was arrested around 5 Saturday night after police say he chased two 13 yer old girls into a Mini Mart. Red Bluff Police say the 33 year old and a 24 year old acquaintance spotted the girls walking along Lincoln Street and began yelling at them. The girls ignored them and hurried away, but Webster and the other man reportedly chased them. The two teens ran into the One Stop gas station with the men following them in. Both left after seeing one of the girls making a phone call. They were later identified by a security camera. Webster is a high risk sex offender who was convicted of sexually abusing a child under 16 years old. The 24 year old was questioned in the case and has been identified as Thomas Hoagland. Police have filed two misdemeanor counts of annoying/molesting a child under the age of 18 against Hoagland.
