High Fire Danger Continues In The North State

Aug 1, 2014 9:32 AM by Cort Klopping

Extreme heat, and very dry conditions are ahead for the north state in your Friday Firecast. Temperatures will exceed the century mark for every city in the valley, and mountain will be in the mid 90's to low triple digits today.

Humidity values will continue to be dangerously low, dropping into the single digits to around 20 percent in the valley. However, winds will not play a significant factor in the fire danger. South winds to around 10mph are expected for the entire north state this afternoon.

Temperatures will drop a few degrees for your weekend, but the very dry conditions do not look to improve until next week. Please excercise extreme caution over the next few days, as high fire danger looks to linger into your extended forecast.
