Fire danger is expected to be in the high range for your Wednesday. Hot temperatures, dry conditions, and the chance for mountain thunderstorms will all play a big factor in that danger.
Temperatures will climb into the 98 to 105 degree range for the valley, and mountain areas will be in the mid 90's to low triple digits this afternoon. Humidity levels could fall back into the single digits today, but most areas of the valley will range between 10% to around 20%. Troughs moving through the region will continue to funnel more moisture into the area, but conditions are expected to be very similar to yesterday.
The chance for mountain thunderstorms will increase this afternoon, and add to the concern for lightning sparked fires in the higher elevations. The threat of thunderstorms will diminish on Thursday. Please use extreme caution as you go about your Wednesday.
