Stan McEtchin, a decorated war hero turned metal artist, has been bringing fame to Paradise through his art. His sculptures range from pigs, to Humpy Dumpty, to even marshmallow roasting sticks. Ninety-one-year-old McEtchin has placed his work on the land across the street from his house, creating a sculpture garden for visitors to view his work.
The hidden gem of Paradise may be no longer, however. Recently, new neighbors, Gary and Vivian Patten, have moved onto the land next to McEtchin's. They believe the land used to display the metal art is actually theirs. However, McEtchin also has a deed stating the same thing.
A civil case has begun to settle the dispute. The Pattens have not responded to Action News regarding this issue.
