More wet, and very windy weather is ahead for your Friday. Winds have continued to be strong overnight, and will continue to become stronger throughout the morning. Sustained winds for the region will be between 15 to 30mph out of the South, with gusts up to around 40mph. Rain has been limited overnight, but a significant band of moisture is currently tracking through the Coastal Range, and into the Northern Mountains early this morning. The best potential for valley rain will be during the middle of the day, before showers taper off into the early evening hours. Mountain areas will have snow down to around 4500 feet throughout the day. Temperatures are starting out in the high 40's to low 50's in the valley, and in the low 30's to low 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are only expected to climb into the mid to high 50's in the valley, and mountains will mostly be in the high 30's to mid 40's later today.
Showers will taper off tonight, and give way to dry and warmer conditions for this weekend. Mostly sunny skies, and temperatures in the mid to high 60's will return for the valley by Sunday. Temperatures will warm into the low to mid 70's with sunny skies for the start of next week. I hope everyone stays safe in the wet and windy conditions ahead for today, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
