It was another warm but not hot day around the North State today. High pressure will strengthen in the next few days, which will warm us up quickly!
A disturbance moved close to the coast this afternoon, which spread high clouds over us today and sparked a few thunderstorms in the mountains. Those storms will dissipate overnight but will re-form tomorrow afternoon in the mountains. The Valley should stay dry. The upper level disturbance will move into southern California by Friday, and the mountain thunderstorm activity will diminish, and dry up by Sunday.
High pressure will strengthen this weekend, and that will send Valley highs into the 90's A few spots in the north end of the Valley could get close to 100 by early next week. It's that time of year!
