Wednesday was a warm day around the North State. We'll heat up even more Thursday and Friday, before we cool things down after that.
High pressure is set to strengthen over the next couple of days. That will send Valley highs into the 90's! We'll also notice a gusty north wind develop, with 25 to 30 mph gusts during the day Thursday... although the mountains shouldn't see much wind. The good news is that the wind will diminish Thursday night... the bad news is the heat will linger into Friday before slowly cooling down some this weekend. High pressure will weaken this weekend and continue weakening next week, allowing our temperatures to cool back down.
But until then... Here comes the heat! And the north winds pick up Thursday, too!
