Warming temperatures, and clearing skies are ahead for your work week. Temperatures have dipped into the mid 60's for the valley overnight, and mountain areas are starting out in the mid 40's to high 50's this morning. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the low to mid 90's for the valley, and into the high 70's to mid 80's in the mountains later today. There will be a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms developing in the Northern Mountains this afternoon, but the atmosphere is much more stable than last week. Today's winds will be out of the South to around 10mph.
Temperatures will continue to rise as skies clear over the next few days. The peak of the heat will arrive on Thursday, with valley temperatures expected to climb into the 100 to 105 degree range. Triple digit heat could return as early as Wednesday for the Northern end of the valley. Conditions will be mild for the brunt of your work week, with the exception of the heat. A nice cool down will return towards the upcoming weekend, with temperatures in the valley projected to fall into the low to mid 90's by Sunday. I hope everyone enjoyed the nice relief from the heat, and has a marvelous Monday!
