Sunday marked the last day of the Pacific Inline Hockey League tournament at North Valley Hockey and Sports Complex in Hamilton City.

Hundreds of players from dozens of teams compete ranging in age, size and even gender.

The tournament was divided into different age and skill divisions. There's even a few adult teams.

Although the tournament consists of local squads including the Chico Firebirds, a few also traveled from as far as Nevada and Oregon to compete.

"It's just so great, you get to be out there and you just get to skate and you don't have to worry about what other people think about you. You just get to have fun and get all your energy out," said Mikayla Seidler.

"I like it because I like being aggressive and checking people, it's really fun," said Isabelle Sherwood.
