Gunshot victim shows up at Bowman Fire Station in Cottonwood

Tehama County authorities are searching for a white SUV without license plates after a gunshot victim showed up at the Bowman Road Cal Fire station Friday afternoon.

Initial reports say that around 4 p.m. one person arrived at the station in Cottonwood with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim says the alleged shooter and two other people are armed and in a white Ford Explorer without license plates. The shooting reportedly happened on Luce Griswold Road in Cottonwood and is the result of a drug deal gone wrong.

The gunshot victim reportedly told authorities he was with two other individuals at the time of the shooting, the whereabouts of those two people are unknown at this time and it is unknown if there are any other gunshot victims.
