NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Witnesses say Islamic militant gunmen were targeting Christians when they attacked a college in northeast Kenya near the border with Somalia today.

At least 15 people were killed and 60 were wounded.

Security forces have cornered the gunmen in a dorm at Garissa University College, where they could be holding hostages.

One student who escaped says the attackers identified themselves as being from the group al-Shabab.
