Today many Butte County farmers gave thanks for the rain inside a building at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds.
Butte County Farm Bureau's Grower Day brought together a cross-section of growers, buyers, and vendors.
It was both a continuing education class for growers and all-around networking event.
Butte County Ag Commissioner Richard Price says officials such as himself are available for questions and encouragement, but a lot more rain is needed for the growers.
"Like I said it's raining out right now so hopefully we can forestall some of those concerns, but after the third year of drought, then we're concerned about the production we're going to have for next year, especially because of the lack of fall rain," Price said.
