SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Zach Randolph had 22 points and 12 rebounds, Marc Gasol added 18 points and six rebounds and the Memphis Grizzlies held off a late rally to beat the short-handed Sacramento Kings 97-85 on Sunday for their fifth straight win.
The frontcourt tandem took advantage of a Kings team playing without center DeMarcus Cousins, who missed his second straight game because of a virus. The Grizzlies built a 21-point lead in the second quarter and pulled away again in the fourth to stretch their NBA-best record to 15-2.
Rudy Gay scored 20 points and reserve Reggie Evans finished with 17 points and 20 rebounds as Sacramento (9-8) lost its third game in a row.
