The Villalobos family has lived on Ohio Street in Gridley for over 40 years, but a Thursday morning fire has left the family with next to nothing.
Noemi Villalobos said five people lived in the home, her mother, husband, and two children. Her husband is in a wheelchair and is immobile, while the children are ages eight and seven.
The community of Gridley is pulling together for the family, by collecting monetary donations, toys, and clothing.
Chris McIntire, who said he has known the family for decades said it would be best for people to donate gift cards or money. McIntire adds people can contact Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1560 Hazel Street in Gridley) or the Gridley School District office.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
