Delivering his case for a second term, California Governor Jerry Brown says the state is leading the nation into a prosperous future.
According to the Associated Press, in the first major speech of his re-election campaign, the 75-year-old governor told cheering Democrats at a convention in Los Angeles Saturday … that his administration had made progress on issues from immigration to the environment. This, while Washington remains “gridlocked.”
Brown promised a broad range of programs to combat climate change, while issuing a defense of the national health care overhaul.
Outside, noisy protesters called on the governor to oppose fracking. ##
