Governor Jerry Brown has appointed a Willows man to fill a vacancy on the Glenn County’s Board of Supervisors.

Vince Minto, 61, of Willows, has been appointed to represent the third district on the Glenn County Board of Supervisors.

Minto has been assessor-clerk-recorder and director in the Elections Department, and clerk, at the Glenn County Board of Supervisors since 2004.

He fills the spot that was left open when Glenn County Supervisor Steve Soeth resigned in July. In a letter to the County Clerk, Soeth said it was in his best interest to resign following his acceptant of the public works director job in Willows.
