GoFundMe account set up for kids orphaned by murder-suicide

A GoFundMe account has been set up to benefit the six children who have been left orphaned by a Tehama County murder-suicide.

Authorities say 34-year-old Justin Sides killed himself after fatally shooting his wife, 31-year-old Jenilee Sides. Justin Sides called 911 at 4:14 a.m. Sunday and told dispatch that he had shot his wife and was going to shoot himself. He also informed officials that he had children in the house.

Deputies arrived and found Jenilee Sides shot at the end of the driveway at 24138 Electric Ave in Dairyville. She died of her wounds a short time after.

Authorities found that six children were in the home, they were able to use patrol cars to get them all out of the area.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter located Justin Sides in a field north of his home, with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
