A Glenn County Jail inmate is facing more legal trouble after a search of his cell turned up methamphetamine.
Around 9 a.m. Tuesday, several agencies including Glenn County's Drug Task Force, the sheriff's office and correctional staff conducted a search of the jail.
While searching the cell of 27-year-old Samuel Sanchez Jr., authorities say they found 17.5 grams of methamphetamine. Sanchez is expected to be charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and for having drugs inside a jail.
An investigation into how Sanchez was able to get the drugs into the jail is underway.
This is the second meth seizure in the Glenn County Jail in the past three months.
