Thousands of people are expected to attend the Glenn County Fair that begins Thursday.
Crews were busy building the carnival rides, moving in food booths and getting the exhibit halls set up Wednesday.
While organizers have been planning for the fair all year, most of the set up had to wait until this week because of other events at the fairgrounds.
Crews say they couldn't get it all done without a little extra help from the community.
"They are volunteering, they are going to make sure this fair is successful, state funding or not," Fair Manager Susan Taylor said.
The fair is open from eleven to eleven through Sunday.
Thursday admission is free for police officers.
Friday's admission is free for firefighters and Saturday is military appreciation day.
