A Willows man was arrested last night after his wife told Glenn County Sheriff's Deputies that her husband strangled her and punched her in the face several times during an argument about his use of alcohol.
Sheriff's Deputies arrived at the Willows home shared by the couple just before 9:00 p.m. to find 35-year-old Jose Fabian extremely intoxicated. Fabian's 34-year-old wife was crying and Deputies saw signs of recent trauma to her face and neck.
The victim told investigators she had been home with the couple's young children when Fabian arrived home intoxicated, she confronted him about his drinking and the fight ensued.
The victim ran outside and saw a 56-year-old man working in a nearby field. The man lent the victim his cell phone so she could call 911 and waited with her until law enforcement arrived.
Fabian was booked into the Glenn County Jail for investigation of inflicting corporal injury to his spouse. The on-call Glenn County Superior Court Judge was contacted and an emergency protective order was obtained.
