A Willows man has been arrested in connection with several explosions caused by incendiary devices. According to Sheriff Rich Warren, on Thursday, authorities were called to County Road 53 about ½ mile east of County Road 99. He says Willows Fire Department extinguished a brush fire caused by an explosive device and had located the area where the device had been detonated. Members of the Butte County Bomb Squad also responded.
Investigators found information that led them to a home on the 300 block of E. Ash Street in Willows. They say a search warrant was written, and Curtis Michael Wooldridge, 33, of Willows was arrested and booked at the Glenn County Jail for charges of 'possessing, manufacturing, disposing, and/or transporting explosive devices,' and 'causing a fire with an incendiary device.' Warren says Wooldridge has been a person of interest in other reported explosions in the Willows area, and his bail was set at $500,000.00.
