PG&E has scheduled a power outage for Elk Creek and Stonyford on Thursday, July 17 so crews can make electrical upgrades in western Glenn and northwest Colusa counties.
The outage will affect 918 customers and will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17 and last until 6:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18.
Officials say the outage is necessary so PG&E crews can install new substation equipment, reframe a wooden transmission pole and perform improvements at three other poles.
"We apologize for the inconvenience that this planned outage will have on our customers in the Elk Creek and Stonyford areas but we are confident that the upgrades will lead to fewer power outages," said Lia White, manager of PG&E's North Valley Division leadership team.
