SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Police in San Francisco say they are searching for the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a 2-year-old girl.
Sgt. Danielle Newman says the girl was in a crosswalk with a relative when she was hit by a car in the city's South of Market neighborhood late Friday night.
Newman says the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it hit the girl and did not stop.
The vehicle is described as a white mid-1990s four-door sedan and may possibly either be a Toyota Camry, Honda or Lexus with a dark-colored mismatched front bumper and dark or black rims.
The girl's name has not yet been released.
