The Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) is hosting a “Garden Shed Showcase” raffle fundraiser.
Local architects have designed three unique, upscale garden sheds with donated materials and labor … that will be raffled off this Thursday, May 8th, at 5:30 p.m.
The profits will go toward CHIP programs that assist low income, rural disadvantaged, seniors, and others … to provide adequate housing.
It serves residents of the Northern Sacramento Valley and marked its 40th anniversary last year. CHIP is best known for its mutual self help programs where families help build their own homes … in line with the agency’s motto “Helping People Help Themselves.”
Raffle tickets are $25 each. They can be purchased at the CHIP office at 1001 Willow Street in Chico. You can also buy them at one of three local nurseries … where the sheds are on display. They include the Plant Barn, TJ’s Nursery and Magnolia Gift and Garden.
