Friends and family are asking for the public’s help in locating 73-year-old Carol Ann Foster who was last seen in the Chico/Oroville area July 15.

According to a friend and coworker, Foster works at Oroville hospital Lab as a clinical laboratory scientist. She didn't show up for work on July 15 or the rest of last week and has not been at work since. She also reportedly didn’t pick up her paycheck last Friday. Her friend indicated there has been no answer on her cell phone. Foster recently moved to north Chico, and the Chico Police Department has confirmed she has family in Chico. Foster's family also hasn't heard from her since her disappearance. A missing persons report was filed with Chico PD on July 19. The friend also indicated she likely does not have dementia.

Detective Jim Parrot of the Chico Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit told Action News Now this morning the initial report Foster appears to indicate Foster may be voluntarily missing, and there has been no evidence of foul play. Parrot also stated department is looking into every and all possibilities of her disappearance.

Foster is described as a white female, 5’6”, 132 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. Foster drives a white 1992 Chevrolet S-10 Calif., license plate 4N16503, which also has not been seen since her disappearance.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Chico Police Department.
