Showers, and thunderstorms have been tracking through the north state overnight, and this morning, but most of the activity is expected to head north over the next few hours.
There is still a Red Flag Warning in effect for the northern mountains, but the warning for the valley has been allowed to expire. We'll see clearing skies throughout the day with slightly cooler temperatures ahead in your Friday forecast.
We could continue to see thunderstorms ahead for the Northern Mountains, but the rest of the north state should be a bit calmer after the next hour or two.
Temperatures will heat back up into the mid 90's to low triple digits this weekend, with the peak of the heat ahead for Monday.
Slightly cooler temperatures will be ahead for Tuesday, and a chance of showers will return by Midweek.
I hope everyone enjoyed the bit of rain we received overnight, and has a fantastic Friday!
