Friday, August 8th Morning Forecast

Aug 8, 2014 1:40 PM by Cort Klopping

Plenty of sunshine, and hot temperatures are ahead in your Friday forecast. temperatures are expected to climb into the mid 90's to low triple digits for the valley, and into the mid 80's to mid 90's for the mountains.

Partly cloudy skies, and the slight chance for thunderstorms will return to the higher elevations this afternoon, but that threat looks to be confined to the Eastern Slopes of the Northern Sierra, and the Northern Mountains. There will be an increasing threat of thunderstorms returning to the north state on Sunday night, and that will ramp up on Monday afternoon. Valley locations even have a slight chance for some activity during that time frame.

Temperatures will begin to cool tomorrow, and will only climb into the low to mid 90's in the valley by Sunday. Temperatures are projected to stay in the low to mid 90's through the middle of next week. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and a fantastic Friday!
