A Fresno man appeared in a Butte County courthouse Tuesday charged with an Oroville murder that was recorded on video.

Yatee Her, 32, appeared in court to face murder and attempted murder charges stemming from a residential shooting on Rusty Dusty Road in Oroville last November.

District Attorney Mike Ramsey said Giovanni Alvarez, 21, of Oroville, died several days after being shot in the head by Her inside the house which was used for large scale marijuana transactions. Investigators found a security system on the interior of the house. Recovered video what was played in court showed Her, who is wheel-chair-bound, shoot Alvarez and assault two others in the house. The two other victims survived after being treated at a local hospital.

A Fresno Police detective also testified at the hearing to Her's gang affiliations. Investigators said Her had several Fresno gang members providing security at the time of the murder.

Her is set to go trial May 6.
