Freezing temperatures are ahead for your Friday forecast, but the Freeze Warning is set to expire at 9am in the valley. Valley locations have dropped into the high 20's to low 30's this morning, Northern Mountains are starting out in the mid to high 20's, Northern Sierra locations are in the teens, and foothills are in the high 20's to low 30's. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to be similar to yesterday's. Valley areas will climb into the low to mid 50's, and mountain areas will have low 40's to low 50's. Today's winds are expected to be light.
The biggest change over the next few days will be warmer temperatures across the region. Overnight lows are projected to be in the mid to high 30's over the weekend, and will only dip into the low to mid 40's at the start of next week. High temperatures will slowly climb back into the low to mid 60's for the valley by Tuesday. The next chance for showers arrived on Thursday. I hope everyone stays as warm as they can this morning, and has a fantastic Friday!
