Freezing temperatures have taken hold of most of the north state overnight. Temperatures have dipped in to the 12 to 15 degree range for most of the Northern Sierra, high teens to low 20's in the Northern Mountains, and into the low 30's for the mid valley. Stronger winds have kept temperatures in the low to mid 40's for the northern end of the valley. Winds will continue to gust to around 20mph out of the North for the northern valley, but the rest of the north state will have winds up to around 10mph out of the North.
A Freeze Warning will stay in place until noon on Friday in the valley. Temperatures are expected to dip below 32 degrees for most areas overnight, but will slowly warm over the next several days. High temperatures are also climbing, with mid 50's expected today, and high 50's to low 60's expected for the start of next week.
I hope everyone bundles up for the chilly conditions this morning, and has a great start to their 2015!
