UPDATE: Tehama County Animal Services has announced they will no longer be holding free spay neuter services at the end of the month.
The Peninsula Humane Society lost a key veterinarian, and will not be able to come up at the end of May as originally planned.
Tehama County Animal Services says they plan to reschedule as soon as possible, but no dates have been set.
Two Tehama County groups are bringing in the Peninsula Humane society at the end of May to provide free spay neuter services in Tehama County.
The event will be hosted May 31st, 2014 through June 2nd, 2014 by Tehama County Animal Care Center and Providing Essentials for Tehama Shelter.
The clinic will be in Los Molinos on Saturday, May 31st. On Sunday, June 1, the clinic will be at the Tehama County Animal Care Center in Red Bluff, and on Monday, June 2, the clinic will be in Rancho Tehama.
There will be up to 25 surgery spots available per day, but there are size restrictions and income qualifications that apply.
In addition to the free spay neuter clinic, the Tehama County Animal Care Center will be holding a licensing and microchipping clinic on Sunday, June 1st at the Tehama County Animal Care Center from 10:00am to 2:00pm. A second licensing and microchipping clinic will be held on Monday, June 2nd, at the Rec Hall in Rancho Tehama, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Microchipping services will be available to all dogs and cats for $15.
Interested persons must come in to the shelter to sign up, starting Thursday, May 1, 2014. Spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis, and space must be reserved in person at the Tehama County Animal Care Center.
The Tehama County Animal Care Center is located at 1830 Walnut Street in Red Bluff. Care Center hours are daily Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m, and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
