Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner pleaded guilty Tuesday to three charges, felony false imprisonment and two misdemeanor counts of battery. Filner resigned from office in August after being plagued with sexual harassment allegations from at least 17 women.
The 71-year old, who was on the job as mayor for nine months, is scheduled to be sentenced December 9th. He's facing a maximum sentence of three years in prison for the felony and one year for each misdemeanor.
Under the plea deal, the state attorney general's office will recommend Filner be sentenced to three months of home confinement and three years of probation. Filner was San Diego's first democratic mayor in 20 years.
