Former Chico State coach Mike Bellotti named to College Football Hall of Fame

Former Chico State and Oregon head football coach Mike Bellotti was named to the 2014 class of the College Football Hall of Fame Thursday morning.

Bellotti was the head coach at Chico State from 1984-1988 where he compiled a record of 21-25-2.

Following his time at Chico State, Bellotti was hired by the University of Oregon as offensive coordinator. In 1995 he was promoted to the head coaching position.

He retired as Oregon head coach in 2009 with a career head coaching record of 137-80-2. He currently works for ESPN as a college football analyst.

Bellotti and Jerry Moore, former Texas Tech and Appalachian State head coach are the only 2014 coaches selected to the Hall of Fame.
