Flagger Hit By Vehicle on Clark Road Identified

(UPDATE) 1:44 p.m.- Enloe Medical Center has confirmed Brooking is currently in fair condition after suffering major injuries from a traffic accident on Clark Road near Durham-Pentz Hwy this morning.

(UPDATE) 11:30 a.m.-
The woman working on contract with Caltrans who was struck by a vehicle this morning on Clark Road has been identified at Pamela Brooking of Oak Run, Calif. She was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center with major injuries. Her condition remains unknown at this time.

According to CHP officials at the scene, the driver who struck Brooking was not arrested. They have called the accident an “unfortunate incident.”

(UPDATE)-9:31 a.m.
: The flagger who was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Clark Road and Durham-Pentz Hwy this morning is a woman in her 40s employed by Knife River Construction on contract for Caltrans. Her injuries remain unknown at this time. She has since been airlifted to Enloe Medical Center after the accident which was first reported just after 7:15 a.m. this morning.

The CHP says a flagger has been hit by a vehicle north of Oroville shortly around 7:15 Monday morning.

It happened at a construction site at Clark Road and Durham Pentz Road, near Butte College.

According to the Chico ER, the flagger's injuries are described as major, but the CHP could not confirm that.

A medical helicopter is in the area to take the victim to the hospital.
