Caltrans crews are scheduled to begin closing various northbound and southbound lanes of Hwy 99 at Riego Road at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22 for a temporary traffic shift due to overnight bridge work.

Southbound drivers will be detoured onto one lane of northbound HWY 99 until 5 a.m. The same southbound detour is scheduled for the same time period on Thursday and Friday.

Caltrans stated today a contractor is scheduled to install several steel bridge girders for a new interchange overpass. Caltrans crews placed girders over the northbound lanes last month.

Unexpected weather or other events may prolong or cause the work to be rescheduled. Caltrans will issue updates on Twitter @D3PIO and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict 3.
